Bovine tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 13 (TNFSF13), also known as APRIL, is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It binds to receptors TNFRSF13B (TACI) and TNFRSF17 (BCMA) and is involved in regulating tumor cell growth and immune processes mediated by monocytes/macrophages. TNFSF13 is expressed in various transformed cell lines and cancers, including those of the colon, thyroid, and lymphoid tissues.
