Target Information

Porcine Rho family GTPase 3, also known as RhoC or RhoH, is a member of the Rho family of small GTPases, which are molecular switches involved in regulating a variety of cellular functions. It plays a critical role in cellular processes such as actin cytoskeleton rearrangement, cell migration, and gene expression. This protein cycles between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state, and its activity is tightly regulated by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs), GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), and guanine nucleotide dissociation inhibitors (GDIs). In pigs, pRhoGTPase3 is expressed in various tissues and is particularly important in the immune system, where it contributes to the regulation of lymphocyte function and inflammation.
