Target Information

Bovine Serine/Threonine-Protein Phosphatase PP1-Alpha Catalytic Subunit (PPP1CA) is a key component of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), a major serine/threonine phosphatase involved in regulating various cellular functions, including glycogen metabolism, muscle contraction, and cell division. PPP1CA forms highly specific holoenzymes with over 200 regulatory proteins, dephosphorylating numerous biological targets. This enzyme is highly conserved across species and is essential for modulating protein phosphorylation pathways. In bovine models, PPP1CA is widely expressed and implicated in metabolic regulation and cellular signaling.
