Target Information

Bovine apolipoprotein A4 (APOA4) is a multifunctional protein involved in lipid transport, glucose metabolism, and the regulation of immune responses. It is primarily expressed in the intestine and to a lesser extent in the liver of cattle. APOA4 plays a role in reducing inflammation and exhibits anti-oxidative activity, making it a biomarker for early diagnosis of liver fibrosis. This protein also regulates thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue (BAT), lipid transport, and cholesterol efflux, offering protection against atherosclerosis and obesity.
