Target Information
Canine coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) is a crucial protein involved in the intrinsic pathway of blood coagulation. It acts as a cofactor for factor IXa, converting factor X to its activated form (Xa) in the presence of calcium and phospholipids. Deficiencies or mutations in FVIII are associated with hemophilia A, a common X-linked bleeding disorder.
