Target Information
Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 1, also known as CD54, is encoded by the ICAM1 gene in rabbits. It is part of the immunoglobulin superfamily, which includes proteins such as antibodies and T-cell receptors. As a transmembrane protein, ICAM-1 features an amino-terminal extracellular domain, a single transmembrane domain, and a carboxy-terminal cytoplasmic domain. ICAM1 may play an important role in the immune system of rabbits, especially during inflammatory responses and leukocyte migration. In addition, gene expression of ICAM1 may be regulated by environmental factors or disease states.
