Target Information

Aspergillosis is a sporadic fungal infection caused by several environmentally ubiquitous species of Aspergillus. Among domestic animals, Aspergillus fumigatus is the most common culprit. Alkaline protease 2 is an alkaline protease that allows assimilation of proteinaceous substrates. It acts as a significant virulence factor in invasive aspergillosis. It is required for regular sporulation.
