Target Information

Lyme borreliosis, a tick-transmitted bacterial disease, affects humans and several animals, such as dogs, horses, and potentially cats. This illness is caused by Borrelia burgdorferi, belonging to the spirochete class within the Borrelia genus. Chimeric borrelial proteins such as flagellin (p41) have been studied to improve serologic diagnosis.
