Target Information

The H15N2 virus is a subtype of the Influenza A virus. The hemagglutinin (HA) protein, a homotrimeric glycoprotein on the surface of influenza viruses, is essential for the virus's infectivity. The HA1 subunit, which contains a receptor binding site, facilitates the virus's attachment to specific sialyl sugar chains on the host cell surface.
