Target Information
Bovine Alpha-lactalbumin is a major whey protein found in Bovine milk, making up approximately 3.5% of the total milk proteins. It is a part of the lactose synthase complex, which is essential for the synthesis of lactose in the mammary gland, thus playing a central role in milk production. Alpha-Lactalbumin is also known for its high nutritional value, being rich in essential amino acids like tryptophan, lysine, and branched-chain amino acids. It is used in infant formulas to mimic the amino acid profile of human milk, potentially supporting infant development and intestinal health. Additionally, it has potential applications in nutritional supplements to support neurological function and sleep in adults due to its unique amino acid composition.
