Target Information
Bovine enteropeptidase is a duodenum serine protease that activates pancreatic enzymes through specific cleavages after lysine residues of peptidyl substrate (Asp)4-Lys. This enzyme is a widely used biotechnological tool in laboratory researches and industrial scale due to its high specificity. In cattle, Enteropeptidase plays a crucial role in the digestive process by initiating the activation of trypsinogen to trypsin, thereby facilitating further protein digestion.
