Target Information

Interleukin 1 receptor antagonist, encoded by the IL1RN gene in cattle, is a protein closely related to the IL-1 family, sharing amino acid sequence similarities with both IL-1 beta and IL-1 alpha. Studies have demonstrated that leukocyte mRNA levels of the IL1RN gene increase 6 hours post-castration in cattle.
