Target Information
Bovine synaptophysin is a protein that is most abundant on the surface of synaptic vesicles in neurons. It is widely used as a synaptic vesicle marker and plays a significant role in the regulation of synaptic vesicle biogenesis and function. Synaptophysin interacts with various proteins, including V-ATPase, to modulate the acidification of synaptic vesicles, which is crucial for neurotransmitter loading. In the Bovine, Synaptophysin is essential for maintaining the normal function of the nervous system, particularly in the release of neurotransmitters and the overall process of synaptic transmission. It has also been implicated in the regulation of synaptic plasticity, which is important for learning and memory processes. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of Synaptophysin in maintaining the curvature of synaptic vesicles and its interaction with V-ATPase, which is significant for the natural membrane environment of the protein.
