Target Information
Canine erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) plays a pivotal role in canine erythropoiesis, promoting the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of erythroid progenitors. It is crucial for maintaining appropriate levels of circulating erythrocytes and is involved in the regulation of oxygen homeostasis. EPOR is also expressed in non-hematopoietic tissues, suggesting its role in tissue protecterythroid progenitors' proliferation, differentiation, and survivalion and response to hypoxia, which could be significant in various pathological conditions, including cancer progression.
