Target Information
Canine thyroid stimulating hormone beta (TSH-beta) is a critical component of the thyroid stimulating hormone, which is essential for the regulation of thyroid function in dogs. TSH-beta, when combined with the alpha subunit, forms the complete TSH that stimulates the thyroid gland to produce and release thyroid hormones, including T3 and T4. These hormones are vital for metabolism, growth, and development. In dogs, TSH-beta is also used as a diagnostic marker for thyroid disorders, helping to assess the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and the presence of related diseases.
