Chicken Annexin A5 (ANXA5) is a member of the annexin family of proteins, which are known for their calcium-dependent binding to phospholipids. In chickens, ANXA5 likely plays a role in membrane dynamics, particularly in the regulation of cell membrane integrity and the prevention of cell apoptosis. It may also be involved in the inflammatory response and the resolution of inflammation, as well as in the transport of cholesterol within the body.
