Target Information

Chicken cadherin-1 (CDH1), referred to as E-cadherin, is essential for tissue integrity and cell-to-cell communication. In chickens, CDH1 is present in multiple tissues and is critical for the development and structure of epithelial sheets. It is involved in the creation of adherens junctions, which are vital for the stability of tissues. Furthermore, CDH1 plays a role in cellular signaling regulation and may be associated with disease development, including cancer.
