Target Information
Chicken dolichyl-diphosphooligosaccharide--protein glycosyltransferase subunit 2 (RPN2) is an endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein involved in N-glycosylation. It is a non-catalytic subunit of the oligosaccharyltransferase (OST) complex, which transfers high-mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues in nascent polypeptides. During embryonic development, RPN2 helps maintain ER structural integrity and supports protein translocation and folding. Additionally, RPN2 is abnormally expressed in various cancers and may serve as a potential tumor biomarker.
