Target Information
Chicken neurofibromin is a multifunctional protein that primarily acts as a Ras GTPase-activating protein (GAP), converting active GTP-bound Ras to inactive GDP-bound Ras to inhibit the Ras signaling pathway. It regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, cytoskeletal dynamics, apoptosis, and stress responses. Neurofibromin also modulates several signaling pathways, including Ras/MAPK, PI3K/AKT/mTOR, and Rho/ROCK. In chickens, this protein is important for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating developmental processes.
