Target Information
Chicken tubulin beta-1 chain is a constituent of the microtubule cytoskeleton, which is essential for various cellular functions such as maintaining cell shape, intracellular transport, and cell division. This protein is a member of the tubulin superfamily and forms heterodimers with alpha tubulin, which then assemble into microtubules. In chickens, Tubulin beta-1 chain contributes to the formation of the mitotic spindle during cell division, ensuring proper chromosome segregation. It also plays a role in the development and maintenance of cellular structures, such as the neuronal network, and is implicated in the transport of essential cellular components along the microtubule network.
