Target Information
Equine Interleukin-12A (IL-12A) is a subunit of the IL-12 cytokine, which is composed of IL-12A (p35) and IL-12B (p40) subunits. IL-12A is involved in the binding of the IL-12 beta subunit and contributes to cytokine activity. It plays a significant role in the immune response, particularly in the regulation of T cell proliferation and the activation of T-helper 1 (Th1) cells, which are crucial for cell-mediated immunity. IL-12A is also involved in the defense response to protozoan and the positive regulation of type II interferon production.
