Target Information
Equine interleukin 10 (IL-10) is a cytokine that plays a critical role in immune regulation and inflammation. It is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, as it limits and terminates inflammatory responses. IL-10 inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6, and IL-8, and it also promotes B cell survival, proliferation, and antibody production. Additionally, IL-10 has been shown to have anti-fibrotic effects, which can contribute to scar-free healing and the restoration of normal extracellular matrix architecture in adult tissues.
