Target Information

Interferon Beta, encoded by the IFNB gene in chickens, possesses antiviral properties. Unlike chicken IFN-γ, which triggers high levels of nitric oxide production in immune cells, both IFN-λ and IFN-β result in significantly lower levels of nitric oxide in various non-epithelial cell types.
