Target Information

Angiopoietin 2, encoded by the ANGPT2 gene in dogs, is a critical player in the modulation of angiogenesis. The balance between ANGPT1 and ANGPT2 serves as a significant marker for the activation of the angiogenic switch within tumors. Angiopoietin 2 (Ang-2) has been shown to promote the extravasation of metastatic cells by inducing the disassembly of endothelial cell-cell junctions and detachment from the extracellular matrix.
