Target Information

Feline Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 5 (BIRC5), also known as Survivin, is an important apoptosis inhibitor belonging to the IAP family. In cats, BIRC5 regulates apoptosis by inhibiting caspase activation, promoting cell proliferation, and cell cycle progression. It plays a key role in embryonic development and tumor cell survival, especially in inhibiting apoptosis and facilitating G2/M phase transition. Additionally, BIRC5 has been shown to negatively regulate feline calicivirus (FCV) infection.
