Target Information

Feline Caspase-1 (CASP1) is a key cysteine protease involved in inflammation and pyroptosis. It activates inflammasomes to mature and release IL-1β and IL-18, playing a crucial role in immune responses. CASP1 also cleaves gasdermin D (GSDMD) to induce pyroptosis, a pro-inflammatory form of cell death. Abnormal function of Caspase-1 in cats may be associated with various inflammatory diseases, highlighting its importance in regulating immune responses and maintaining tissue homeostasis.
