Target Information

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) gag polyprotein is a structural protein that plays a pivotal role in the assembly and budding of the virus. It is produced from the gag gene on unspliced full-length viral transcripts and directs the formation of immature virions. The Gag Polyprotein assembles at the plasma membrane of infected cells and is responsible for packaging the viral genome and forming the viral core structure.
