Target Information
In felines, CD16 (Low Affinity Immunoglobulin Gamma Fc Region Receptor III-A) is expressed on NK cells and some monocytes. It acts as a low-affinity receptor for the Fc region of IgG antibodies, mediating antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). By recognizing and binding antibody-coated pathogens or tumor cells, CD16 activates NK cells to induce cytotoxicity and eliminate target cells. Additionally, CD16 is involved in regulating immune cell adhesion and migration, enhancing immune responses.
