Target Information
Goat tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11B (TNFRSF11B), also known as osteoprotegerin (OPG), is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in bone metabolism by inhibiting the destruction and absorption of bone. It is involved in the regulation of osteoclast formation and activity, thus maintaining bone density. TNFRSF11B is also implicated in immune regulation, inflammation, and has been associated with various diseases, including cancer, where it may inhibit apoptosis in tumor cells and promote their proliferation and metastasis.
