Target Information
Influenza A virus subtype H2N2 (A/H2N2) is a variant of Influenza A virus. It has evolved into several strains, such as the "Asian flu" strain (now extinct in the wild), H3N2, and various avian strains. Hemaglutinin (HA) is the most prevalent glycoprotein on the surface of the influenza virus. The nucleoprotein (NP), a structural protein lacking intrinsic enzymatic activity, plays a central role in viral replication and is the most abundant viral protein found in infected cells.
