Target Information

Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a pathogen with a reduced genome that causes community-acquired pneumonia and can also infect swine. The primary cellular adhesin, P1, is localized at the tip of the attachment organelle, where it forms a complex with the cleavage fragments P40 and P90, which are derived from the processing of Mpn142. This complex includes other molecules that are involved in adhesion and motility.
