Target Information
Swine colony stimulating factor 3, granulocyte (GCSF), also known as CSF-3, is a glycoprotein consisting of 174 amino acids with a molecular weight of approximately 19.6 kDa. It is a major hematopoietic cytokine that controls the proliferation and differentiation of myeloid progenitor cells into neutrophils. In swine, GCSF plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in the mobilization of neutrophils during infection or tissue damage, and is used clinically to prevent or treat neutropenia associated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
