Target Information
Swine hypoxia Inducible Factor 1 Alpha (HIF-1α) in swine is a crucial transcription factor that mediates cellular response to low oxygen levels, known as hypoxia. It plays a pivotal role in regulating metabolic pathways, promoting glycolysis, and suppressing mitochondrial respiration to prevent the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). HIF-1α is also involved in angiogenesis, erythropoiesis, and other adaptive processes necessary for cells to survive and function under oxygen-deficient conditions.
