Target Information

Swine secretogranin-1 is a protein that is part of the granin family, which are major constituents of neuroendocrine secretory granules. It plays a role in the packaging and regulated secretion of hormones and neurotransmitters. Secretogranin-1 is involved in processes such as neuronal differentiation and protection from nitric oxide-induced apoptosis in neuroblastoma cells, indicating its importance in neuroendocrine function and cell survival.
