Target Information

11β-Hydroxyprogesterone (11β-OHP), also referred to as 21-deoxycorticosterone, is an endogenous steroid and a derivative of progesterone. Renowned for its strong mineralocorticoid properties, it is synthesized from progesterone primarily by the enzyme steroid 11β-hydroxylase (CYP11B1), and to a lesser degree, by aldosterone synthase enzyme (CYP11B2).
