Specifications
Target Information
Cyclin-dependent kinase 13 (CDK13) is a member of the cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), a family of 20 ATP-dependent serine-threonine protein kinases that integrate extracellular and intracellular signals to regulate cell cycle progression and gene expression. It is a kinase involved in the regulation of gene expression and its overexpression has been shown to alter pre-mRNA processing. CDK13 is required for RNA splicing and has CTD kinase activity by hyperphosphorylating the C-terminal heptapeptide repeat domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit RPB1.
