Specifications
Target Information
Lipoprotein lipase (LPL), also known as triacylglycerol acylhydrolase (lipoprotein-dependent), belongs to the lipase gene family. It is a water-soluble enzyme that plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism. This family includes other lipases such as pancreatic lipase, hepatic lipase, and endothelial lipase. Bovine Lipoprotein Lipase is encoded by the LPL gene in cattle. The levels of LPL transcripts are positively related to LPL activity in bovine tissues, including muscles and adipose tissues.
