Target Information

NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 8, mitochondrial resides in the mitochondria and participates in the electron transport chain. It is encoded by the NDUFS8 gene in bovine. It accepts electrons from iron-sulfur protein 7 and transfers them further down the chain. It is an essential core subunit and component of the iron-sulphur fragment of mitochondrial complex I, which is directly involved in electron transfer and energy metabolism.
