Target Information

Pleiotrophin is a secreted protein that plays a multifaceted role in the central nervous system (CNS). Its functions include regulating cell proliferation, growth, and differentiation. It is expressed in various regions of the CNS, including the hippocampus. Bovine Pleiotrophin is encoded by the PTN gene in cattle. It is an abundant protein in dissociative extracts of bovine fetal epiphyseal cartilage and nasal cartilage from newborns.
