Target Information
Microtubule associated protein 2 (MAP2) is a key neuronal protein that plays a critical role in the structural integrity and function of neurons in the central nervous system of animals. MAP2 is a microtubule-associated protein that stabilizes and maintains the structure of microtubules, which are essential components of the neuronal cytoskeleton. It is particularly important for the development and maintenance of dendrites, the branching extensions of neurons that receive input from other neurons.
