Target Information

Caspase 3 is encoded by the CASP3 gene in ducks. Caspases, including caspase-3, are aspartate-specific cysteine proteases responsible for executing programmed cell death (apoptosis). They cleave various substrates, leading to cell demise. Caspase-3 activation can be detected using antibody-based or substrate-based methods1. In summary, caspase-3 is a key player in orchestrating cellular fate during critical processes like apoptosis. It is a potential effectors of apoptosis that is triggered via several different pathways.
