Target Information
Canine C-C motif chemokine 2 (CCL2), also known as Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 (MCP-1), is a chemotactic cytokine that plays a key role in immune responses by recruiting monocytes, macrophages, and T cells to sites of inflammation. It is a member of the CC chemokine family and is expressed by various cell types, including macrophages, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. CCL2 exerts its effects by binding to the C-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 2 (CCR2), which is widely expressed on immune cells.
