Target Information

Chicken CD44 is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a multifaceted role in the immune system of chickens, being involved in various cellular processes including cell adhesion, migration, and immune cell activation. As a member of the CD44 family of proteins, it is known to interact with a variety of ligands and participate in key immunological functions. CD44 in chickens contributes to the recognition and response to pathogens by modulating the activity of various immune cells, including T cells and B cells. It is also implicated in the process of leukocyte extravasation, allowing immune cells to exit the bloodstream and enter tissues where they are needed to combat infection.
