Target Information
Porcine NSFL1 cofactor P47, also known as NSFL1C, is a protein that plays a significant role in cellular physiology, particularly in the fusion of transport vesicles with target membranes and in membrane remodeling. As a cofactor of the ATPase p97/VCP, NSFL1C is involved in the biogenesis of the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, which are crucial for maintaining cellular function. In pigs, NSFL1 Cofactor P47 may serve similar functions, contributing to the cellular processes that require vesicle trafficking and membrane fusion. The protein's role in these processes suggests its importance in the health and development of porcine cells. It has been noted that the degradation of p47 by autophagy contributes to the overexpression of CADM1 in ATLL cells through the activation of NF-κB, highlighting its potential role in cellular transformation and disease progression.
