Target Information

Porcine dipeptidase 1 (DPY1), also known as dipeptidyl peptidase I or cathepsin C, is a lysosomal protease that plays a critical role in the degradation of proteins, particularly the processing of antigenic peptides and the activation of various bioactive molecules. DPY1 is involved in the immune response, inflammation, and the maintenance of tissue homeostasis. As a molecular target, DPY1 is significant due to its involvement in the processing of peptides and its impact on immune cell function. It has been implicated in various immune-mediated diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and certain autoimmune conditions. Given its role in antigen processing, DPY1 may also play a role in the development of allergies and the body's response to allergens.
