Target Information

Porcine cell division cycle 73 (CDC73), also known as the parafibromin, is a protein that plays a critical role in the regulation of cell division in pigs. CDC73 is primarily involved in the control of the G1 to S phase transition, a key checkpoint in the cell cycle that ensures proper cell growth and preparation for DNA replication. This protein functions as a component of the CDK8/cyclin C complex, which acts as a kinase and regulates various transcription factors, thereby influencing gene expression patterns that are essential for cell cycle progression. CDC73 is also implicated in the regulation of DNA replication and the maintenance of genomic stability.
