Target Information

Cluster of differentiation 33 (CD33) also known as Siglec-3 (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin 3, SIGLEC3, SIGLEC-3, gp67, p67) is a transmembrane receptor expressed on cells of myeloid lineage. Swine CD33 was found to be preferentially expressed on blood myeloid cells and their bone marrow precursors, with monocytes expressing higher levels than granulocytes. CD33 plays an important role in mediating cell-cell interactions and in maintaining immune cells in a resting state.
