Target Information

Thymosin Beta-4 (TMSB4X) is a protein encoded by the TMSB4 gene in pigs. Thymosin Beta-4 is an actin-sequestering protein that regulates actin polymerization. TMSB4-transfected bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells might significantly improve recovery from myocardial ischemia and promote the generation of HIF-1α and p-HIF-1α via the AKT pathway, and inhibit the degradation of HIF-1α via the prolyl hydroxylase domain proteins and factor-inhibiting HIF pathways.

Target/Biomarker Porcine TMSB4
Target Synonym Thymosin beta-4; T beta-4; TMSB4
Gene ID 733606
UniProt ID Q95274
