Target Information

Bovine annexin A5 (ANXA5) is a member of the annexin family of proteins, which are characterized by their ability to bind phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. This protein plays a crucial role in several physiological processes in cattle, including blood coagulation, inflammation regulation, and cellular signaling. ANXA5 is well-known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its involvement in the resolution of inflammation. It has been shown to inhibit neutrophil accumulation at sites of inflammation and to dampen inflammation in various conditions such as pneumonia, influenza A virus infection, sickle cell disease, and ischemia-reperfusion injury .
