Target Information
Bovine hemoglobin subunit beta in Bovines, like in other mammals, is a component of hemoglobin, which is the protein responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and for carrying carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs. Hemoglobin is a tetramer composed of two alpha and two beta globin chains. The beta chain is coded for by the HBB gene and plays a critical role in the proper functioning of hemoglobin. It is involved in the binding and release of oxygen, and any mutations in the beta chain can lead to diseases such as beta-thalassemia or sickle cell anemia. In Bovine, the hemoglobin subunit beta is essential for maintaining normal respiratory function and ensuring that oxygen is efficiently delivered throughout the body to support various metabolic processes.
